Badlands Residency Day 29
April 19, 2012
Spent the morning on a new painting, had lunch, and drove with Steven over to Old NE Road to hike with the 6-8th grade class from Interior School. They were doing photography on their hike, so Julie had us along to role model/offer advice. It was fun to see them again, and the weather could not have been much better. Stopped in at the visitor's center on the way back to see about whether we could get transportation to the Palmer Creek unit for camping tomorrow. It has been up in the air all week.
In the end, it sounds like we have a ride from someone from the tribe out to Stronghold Table tomorrow morning, then we'll try to get ourselves over to Red Shirt Table (both in the south unit). Sunday we may have a ride into Palmer depending on the soil condition and our ride's availability.
Morning fog outside my back door. That's Angel Butte. |
