Friday November 16
Was invited for a few hours of rock
hunting with friends in the grasslands south of the park boundary.
Beautiful area, lovely day. I'm not a serious rock hunter, but it's
fun to look at all the various colors and formations. Happened to
find a very small fairburn agate today, which was neat. Stopped by John and Tricia's place for a bit, and had fun taking some photographs around the land. After
getting home, I cooked dinner for a handful of friends I met last
spring, sort of reuniting the old gang. They stayed until late, and
we had fun playing a bunch of different card games.

I don't know why, but I love hay bales. |
