Today the group from Calhoun School departed the park and flew home to Manhattan. I'm always more than a little sad to see them go. Their flight was late in the afternoon, which afforded time to take them over to the Dahl Arts Center first, and show them my exhibit. Towards the end of our time there several students discovered the lego bin in the kids' room, and a handful of us sat and built creations.
After parting with the group, ranger Tyler and I had lunch at the Firehouse Brewing Company and ran a bunch of errands. Drove back to the park, fed and played with a friend's cat, made taco salads for dinner, and simply hung out for the evening. It was a very nice end to the busy week.
