Another working day. Sketched out a painting of an area in the Palmer Creek unit, one of the most challenging areas within the national park to access. Had some lunch and then did a drawing in pastel, which I haven't done in years. Back when I did do pastel, it was rarely landscape, so this is a change. Was a nice release with no pressure to perform. My apartment came with some magnetic clips, so to be completely goofy I put my drawing up on the fridge. I did start painting on the Palmer piece as well today.
Had hopes to go photograph the comet tonight. It was supposed to be lovely, next to the crescent moon just after sunset. Alas, the western horizon began clouding up just before sunset. Snapped a couple shots out my back door instead.
